Sustainable Transportation Podcast

This YouTube podcast, made for BET 420: Entrepreneurship for Social Impact, explores the issues with the sustainability of EV manufacturing. It highlights the underlying problems associated with EVs despite their clean operational lifespan, focusing on the carbon footprint generated during their production phase.

To fix this, a business model was proposed to repurpose old internal combustion engine (ICE) cars into electric vehicles using Sodium-Ion batteries. The viability, feasibility, market scope, stakeholder insights, and the need for regulatory compliance of this business model are discussed

The Canadian Justice System

This poster, made for a Grade 12 Law (CLN4U) project, looks at examples throughout history when justice in Canada has indeed not prevailed. From lack of justice due to sexism, racism, and ableism, Canada has had its fair share of incorrect verdicts in the court of law. The main ones throughout history, with the most impact on Canadian society, are shown here.

To study this issue, 4 different cases are presented, each with a different type of discrimination associated with it. The first case is Nova Scotia v Desmond (1946), which looks at how justice is denied due to race and ethnicity with the defendant being black.

The second case is Sero v Gault (1921), which also looks at justice being denied due to race with the defendant being a Tyendinaga Mohawk woman.

The third case is R. v Ghomeshi (2016), which looks at justice being denied due to sex, where a CBC male writer got away with sexual assault.

Lastly, the fourth case is York University v Markicevic (2018), where the defendant was charged with embezzlement of funds. However, the entire court case cost much more than the alleged amount swindled, and the defendant could not maintain the funds for the case, while the university could.

This video, made for a Grade 11 Physics (SPH3U) project, looks at 8 real-world physics problems, taken from clips of plays from LeBron James' career. Physics is something that transcends reality and applies to every situation, including basketball. In the video, problems regarding Position, Velocity, Acceleration, Gravitational Field Strength, Forces, Free-Body Diagrams, the Work-Energy Theorem, and Power are solved.
